Packing for a Move

Packing for a Move

Welcome to my website. I’m hoping to provide you with some useful packing tips. My name is Ellen Monday. My family and I moved from a very large home to a large home. My point being, although we still live in a large house, we did downsize. It was almost like packing for two moves because we had belongings going to the new house and some going to storage. We had to make decisions about what we wanted to keep, store and get rid of. I have some tips on how we made those decisions, and the best ways we found to pack. Items that were going into storage were packed differently than those we were moving to the new house. Boxes had to be carefully and clearly marked so we didn’t end up storing our everyday dishes or something tragic like that! Hope you enjoy my blog.

4 Ideas To Give Rustic Home Designs Custom Details With Staircases

Aaron Carroll

If you have a home that has a rustic design, and you want to give it more details, there are areas like staircases that give you plenty of options. You may want to consider solutions like stained wood and iron details, using raw timber and logs or adding wildlife staircase panels for custom details. Here are some ideas to give your staircase a rustic look:

1. Incorporating Stone Into Staircase Designs

Stone is a great material to add a rustic look to staircase designs. If you want to have a solid staircase, you may want to consider building the stairs with solid brick and stone designs. The stone can also be used for simpler features, such as stone surfaces for landings or for the entrance to stairs that change over to more conventional and lightweight wood or timber designs.

2. Log Staircases With Natural Railings Using Branches

For timber framed or log homes, you may want to have staircases that do more justice to the design. Consider features like log stairs and wood railings. If you want to have staircases that have a more natural look and blend in with the surroundings, consider using branches for the railings.

3. Adding Natural Wildlife Staircase Panels for a Themed Look

Another option that you may want to consider for the design of rustic staircases is to add natural wildlife staircase or balcony panels. These panels can be made of wood or iron and help blend the stairs in with the rustic design. This is a great solution if you want to have more conventional stairs but still want to add a touch of rustic design to them. Panels are also great to use as part of timber railings using branches, which staircase panels will make up the center part of the railings and the branches can be used for the banisters and hand rails.

4. Natural Timber Staircases With Cast Iron Details for a Rustic Look

There are many things that can be done with large timber staircases, which can help blend contemporary designs with rustic settings. You may also want to consider adding cast iron features like brackets, fasteners, and other details if you want to have more of an authentic rustic appearance.

These are some ideas that will help give your rustic home details with custom staircase designs. To add a personal touch to the design, contact a manufacturer of wildlife staircase panels to add the finishing touches.
