Packing for a Move

Packing for a Move

Welcome to my website. I’m hoping to provide you with some useful packing tips. My name is Ellen Monday. My family and I moved from a very large home to a large home. My point being, although we still live in a large house, we did downsize. It was almost like packing for two moves because we had belongings going to the new house and some going to storage. We had to make decisions about what we wanted to keep, store and get rid of. I have some tips on how we made those decisions, and the best ways we found to pack. Items that were going into storage were packed differently than those we were moving to the new house. Boxes had to be carefully and clearly marked so we didn’t end up storing our everyday dishes or something tragic like that! Hope you enjoy my blog.

Incorporating Modern Art Into Your Home

Aaron Carroll

Abstract art pieces have the ability to evoke unique emotions and provoke thought. Incorporating abstract and modern art pieces into your interior decor might seem challenging, but you can easily use modern art to enhance the elegance and style of your living space.

The key is finding abstract art that is well executed. You can look for some key features to help you discern the good art from the bad.

1. Technique

One of the first elements that you should look for when trying to invest in a quality piece of modern art for sale is the technique used by the artist. Look closely at the canvas to see if the brushstrokes are smooth and even. Compare the paint colors throughout the piece, and look for any inconsistencies.

It can also be helpful to look at the condition of the painting. When certain paints are not mixed properly, they will begin to deteriorate or fade. If you are going to buy a piece of abstract modern art, be sure it has been created using good technical skill.

2. Composition

The second thing you should look for when evaluating the quality of abstract art is balanced composition. Although abstract art doesn't contain any defined subject matter, the artwork can still be balanced.

A piece of art with good composition will have focal points throughout the piece. These focal points will be emphasized using line, color, and shading. You don't want all of the interest to be in one area, as this prevents your eye from appreciating the piece as a whole. Step back and view potential paintings from a distance to help you see if the composition is lacking.

3. Color

The last thing that you should consider when trying to incorporate modern art into your home is color. Modern artists love to experiment with bright and bold colors. It is these color palettes that help to define abstract art.

Look for a piece that features vivid colors that mirror the color palette within your home. This will allow your abstract painting to both stand out and blend seamlessly into your interior design.

Art is often thought of as being subjective, but there are some key elements that define a quality piece of abstract art. Look for works that are created with technical skill, that have a balanced composition, and that feature bold and bright colors. And, above all, ensure that the abstract art you purchase makes you feel good when you look at it.
