Packing for a Move

Packing for a Move

Welcome to my website. I’m hoping to provide you with some useful packing tips. My name is Ellen Monday. My family and I moved from a very large home to a large home. My point being, although we still live in a large house, we did downsize. It was almost like packing for two moves because we had belongings going to the new house and some going to storage. We had to make decisions about what we wanted to keep, store and get rid of. I have some tips on how we made those decisions, and the best ways we found to pack. Items that were going into storage were packed differently than those we were moving to the new house. Boxes had to be carefully and clearly marked so we didn’t end up storing our everyday dishes or something tragic like that! Hope you enjoy my blog.

2 Reasons To Use Customized Garage Storage Systems

Aaron Carroll

When you have a garage, it all too often ends up as a catchall. Your lawn tools go in there, as well as any stuff that doesn't fit in your house. That means your garage can be so full of stuff that you can't park your car in it, which can be seriously inconvenient for you. There are things that you can do in order to make sure that your garage isn't so full that you can't use it. One of them is to have a custom storage system built for your garage. There are a lot of good reasons to go with something custom.

Fits Your Needs

The thing about a generic storage system that you can buy in any home improvement shop is that it's geared to work for the lowest common denominator. That means that it's going to have things that the most people are going to need, because otherwise it won't sell as much. But, that generic storage system may not work for you and your needs. You may end up with features you don't need while missing features that you do need. When you get a custom system, you will be able to pick and choose the features that will work best for you and your needs. For example, if you have multiple bikes that need to be stored, you can arrange to have several hooks as part of the storage so that you can hang the bikes to store them.

Makes the Most of Your Space

Another reason to go with a custom system is that it's going to make the most of the space you have available. For example, the storage system might not be composed of just shelves and such, but may also make use of vertical space that doesn't get utilized or adding storage space that is suspended from your ceiling. If you have very little wall space, using your ceiling as part of your storage plan just makes sense, and the storage units can be placed far enough back that any garage door won't be affected. The ceiling storage units can also be arranged so that they are easy for you to access, even if you aren't as tall as you could be.

Your garage can be the perfect place for storage, but you don't want it to end up with so much stuff that it is unusable when it comes to your car. Customized storage systems, such as from Cinti Closets LLC, can help you with that.
