Packing for a Move

Welcome to my website. I’m hoping to provide you with some useful packing tips. My name is Ellen Monday. My family and I moved from a very large home to a large home. My point being, although we still live in a large house, we did downsize. It was almost like packing for two moves because we had belongings going to the new house and some going to storage. We had to make decisions about what we wanted to keep, store and get rid of. I have some tips on how we made those decisions, and the best ways we found to pack. Items that were going into storage were packed differently than those we were moving to the new house. Boxes had to be carefully and clearly marked so we didn’t end up storing our everyday dishes or something tragic like that! Hope you enjoy my blog.

Should You Invest In A Residential Water Softener?

Aaron Carroll

There are many reasons to consider investing in a residential water softener. When you get this type of softener for your home, you do your part to keep your water quality at its best. Should you invest in a residential water softener? Here are reasons to consider it.

You keep your appliances in better condition

When you get your water softener installed, you end up allowing your appliances to last much longer. This is because hard water minerals and deposits, such as calcium and other types of buildup, end up clogging appliances like your refrigerator, ice machine, washing machine, and dishwasher. Make your appliances last longer potentially by installing a water softener in the kitchen or laundry room so your heavily used appliances don't get clogged with buildup that can wear them down.

You preserve your clothing

The same hard water that destroys your appliances can do a number on your clothing as well. Hard water deposits can wear out your clothing much sooner than you'd like, making your clothes stretched out and dingy as a result. Even worse, your clothing will come out with residue on it and may fade more than normal with each wash. Simply adding a water softener to your home's water supply can make a big difference in how your clothing comes out in the end.

You keep plumbing cleaner

Want to take care of your home's plumbing supply? Your plumbing takes a beating when you constantly use water that hasn't been treated in any way. You can utilize the benefits of a water softening agent in your home to keep your pipes from becoming clogged and worn out due to excess minerals getting stuck in the lines. If your pipes are already clogged and damaged due to hard water buildup and stains, then you will want to get your pipes snaked and cleaned prior to installing a water softening agent.

You improve your skin

Hard water leaves behind a residue that can dry out your skin and leave you feeling dry and irritated. If your skin is itchy, has a rash, or is constantly dry, adding a water softener to at least your bathroom plumbing can make a world of difference in your skin's overall health and quality. Your water softening installation specialist will help you determine which solution is best for your needs and whether you should install a water softener in your entire home's water supply or just in some areas of the house.
