Packing for a Move
About Me
Packing for a Move

Welcome to my website. I’m hoping to provide you with some useful packing tips. My name is Ellen Monday. My family and I moved from a very large home to a large home. My point being, although we still live in a large house, we did downsize. It was almost like packing for two moves because we had belongings going to the new house and some going to storage. We had to make decisions about what we wanted to keep, store and get rid of. I have some tips on how we made those decisions, and the best ways we found to pack. Items that were going into storage were packed differently than those we were moving to the new house. Boxes had to be carefully and clearly marked so we didn’t end up storing our everyday dishes or something tragic like that! Hope you enjoy my blog.

Determining What You Want When Using a Luxury Interior Design Service

Aaron Carroll

Luxury interior design is all about having a home that makes your dreams come true. It is about having a home that not only has aesthetic value but one that is your haven of rest and a place you can entertain your friends with pride. Determining which elements are most important to you, before you call your interior designer, will help you work with your interior designer to create the home you have been dreaming about.

1. Quality over quantity

Luxury interior design is always more about quality than quantity. It does not matter how big or small your living space is, luxury is more about living your best life possible. It should always reflect your unique personality and be centered around the things you love.

2. Go with what inspires you

Think about the things that motivate you. If you admire a famous chef, you may want to focus on creating a high-end kitchen where you can hone your cooking skills. If you love music, you will want to incorporate a solid music sound system in your design layout or add a grand piano to your living room décor.

3. Space planning matters

A beautiful home must also be functional enough to make your life easier. Space planning can save you steps and will help make your luxury home efficient without distracting anyone from the beauty. For instance, space planning in your luxury kitchen will help you access the various features of your kitchen easily when entertaining or preparing meals.

4. Luxury colors and textures

Black, royal blue, gold, rich red, and deep purple have been associated with luxury throughout the ages. Adding these colors to your interior will complement a neutral palette well and provide a luxurious boost of color. Gold or brass will add a perfect pop of bling to any room and is sure to grab attention when used for lamp bases and fixtures. You can add luxurious textures to your home with plush fabrics like silk and velvet. Look for throws, accent pillows, and bed coverings in silk or velvet to create a cozy and comfortable feel in a room. Shag and plush rugs will add dimension to a room and exude a sense of luxury.

When you have a luxurious home, you will feel like you are on vacation every day of the year. Equipped with all the features you love; your home will be the place you love most and cannot wait to show off to your friends and family. To learn more, contact luxury interior designers.
