Welcome to my website. I’m hoping to provide you with some useful packing tips. My name is Ellen Monday. My family and I moved from a very large home to a large home. My point being, although we still live in a large house, we did downsize. It was almost like packing for two moves because we had belongings going to the new house and some going to storage. We had to make decisions about what we wanted to keep, store and get rid of. I have some tips on how we made those decisions, and the best ways we found to pack. Items that were going into storage were packed differently than those we were moving to the new house. Boxes had to be carefully and clearly marked so we didn’t end up storing our everyday dishes or something tragic like that! Hope you enjoy my blog.

When it comes to designing your kitchen or bathroom, the backsplash is an important element that not only protects your walls but also adds a touch of style and personality to the space. With so many different materials available, selecting the right one for your backsplash tile can be a daunting task. This guide will help you navigate through the options and make an informed decision that suits your needs and style.
Ceramic Tile:
Ceramic tile is one of the most popular choices for backsplashes due to its versatility and affordability. It comes in a wide range of colors, sizes, and patterns, allowing you to achieve the desired look for your space. Additionally, ceramic tile is durable and easy to clean, making it a practical option for high-moisture areas like kitchens and bathrooms.
Glass Tile:
For a modern and sleek look, consider glass tile for your backsplash. Glass tiles reflect light and create an illusion of depth, making your space appear larger and brighter. They come in various colors and finishes, including translucent and iridescent options that add a unique touch to your design. Glass tile is also heat-resistant and easy to maintain, making it a durable choice for your backsplash.
Natural Stone:
If you're aiming for a more rustic or organic look, natural stone tiles, such as marble, travertine, or slate, are excellent options. Each stone has its own unique characteristics and patterns, adding a natural and timeless appeal to your space. However, it's important to note that natural stone requires regular sealing to prevent stains and damage and can be a pricier option compared to other materials.
Stainless Steel:
For an industrial or contemporary look, stainless steel can be an excellent choice for your backsplash. Stainless steel tiles are resistant to heat and water, making them ideal for kitchen backsplashes. They are also easy to clean and maintain, as they are less prone to staining or discoloration. However, fingerprints and smudges may be more visible on a stainless steel surface, so be prepared for regular cleaning to keep it looking pristine.
Porcelain Tile:
Porcelain tile is known for its durability and low-maintenance qualities. This material is resistant to heat, stains, and scratches, making it an excellent choice for high-traffic areas like kitchens. Porcelain tile comes in a wide range of colors, textures, and finishes, giving you plenty of design options to choose from. With its versatility and resilience, porcelain tile is a popular choice for backsplash installation.
Choosing the right material for your backsplash tile is crucial in creating a space that is not only aesthetically pleasing but also functional and durable. Consider the style, durability, and maintenance requirements of each material before making your final decision. By doing so, you can transform your kitchen or bathroom with a stunning backsplash that reflects your personal style and enhances the overall design of your space.
