Packing for a Move

Welcome to my website. I’m hoping to provide you with some useful packing tips. My name is Ellen Monday. My family and I moved from a very large home to a large home. My point being, although we still live in a large house, we did downsize. It was almost like packing for two moves because we had belongings going to the new house and some going to storage. We had to make decisions about what we wanted to keep, store and get rid of. I have some tips on how we made those decisions, and the best ways we found to pack. Items that were going into storage were packed differently than those we were moving to the new house. Boxes had to be carefully and clearly marked so we didn’t end up storing our everyday dishes or something tragic like that! Hope you enjoy my blog.

Got Broken Glass?

Aaron Carroll

Broken windows can be one of the most complicated home or garden repairs. The complicated nature of these window glass repairs simply boils down to the fact that there are hundreds of different glass windows. Within a typical American home, there are glass windows, glass shower doors, frameless windows, frameless shower doors, and even decorative stained glass windows.

Simple Repairs for Ornamental Glass

Normal American gardens can also contain various types of glass or windows as well: shed windows, glass ornaments or yard decorations, glass lights, and even greenhouse window panes. When one of your glass products breaks, it can be extremely difficult to get it repaired. Glass yard decorations or ornaments can either be repaired with a strong adhesive (think superglue) and once it has dried, they can be placed back in the yard. Although completing an adhesive repair can be monotonous, it is effective and can save you the hassle of completely repurchasing the beloved item.

Window Repairs

Broken window glass is a different story—you will most likely need to obtain the help of a window glass repair specialist to ensure that the repair process is completed correctly. It may seem tempting to try and repair your cracked glass shower door on your own, but one wrong bump and the entire pane can be transformed into a spiderweb of cracks.

A "do-it-yourself" project gone wrong can eventually cost you hundreds of dollars, which is why it is a safer bet to opt for a window glass replacement service. A window glass replacement service will send a professional to come out and evaluate the damaged glass. Once their analysis has been completed, the company will provide you with an estimated bid. This bid will outline the proposed cost of fixing your window or glass product.

If you are unsure of which company to select, you can always receive multiple bids from different companies. Having multiple bids can improve your chances of finding a high-quality repair for a more budget-friendly price. If a repair company is not able to provide an efficient repair, you may need to contact a window glass replacement service. For high-severity cracks and breaks, a repair service can simply replace your damaged piece of glass with a new, much safer piece of glass. No matter what cracked glass you have in your home or garden, there is a glass repair or replacement service out there with the ability to take care of your problem.
